Another new favorite, Oribe Apres Beach.
Use this on naturally wavy or curly hair while damp, and diffuse or air-dry for beachy texture with shine. Or spray through the ends of freshly dried and curled hair for a textured look without the dryness or gritty feeling other surf sprays leave.
Preferably, use as instructed:
Shake. Spray on wet or dry hair. Tousle to taste and let dry in the St. Tropez air. Follow with lipstick and heels.
RODIN by RECINE hair oil is the bomb, easily the most effective and versatile oil I’ve used. I was given a sample of this by a friend and had it for months before I realized what I had!
You can use this oil as a hair treatment or a styling aid, depending on the amount and application. As a treatment, it would be great overnight before a shampoo in the morning. I like to use this combined with some curl cream before I air-dry my hair. This oil also works well for styling and blowdrying although you have to use it sparingly, it even comes with a little dropper to dispense the oil.
This blend of 8 essential oils smells AMAZING, and it works without a lot of residue. My new favorite.
Sneak peak from Monday’s shoot…

Hair by me.
Here’s photographer Anoushka Fisz with hair by me. These are from just one week ago, on set for a new project by her husband Dave Stewart.
Search for some of Anoushka’s stunning self-portraits. Also, check out the new Stevie Nicks album produced by Dave. I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to work with him.
Here’s my client Thomas Dekker at the premiere of the new HBO Original Movie Cinema Verite with hair cut and color by me. We did this just a couple of hours before the pictures were taken.
Cinema Verite tells the story of the Loud family’s rise to fame in the early 1970’s. Thomas plays the family’s oldest son Lance Loud who became known as a gay icon for having his eccentric lifestyle revealed on the family’s documentary series “An American Life.”
Still have to catch it on HBO, also starring Diane Lane who I love!

Yahoo interview with Tracey and me.
Here I am blowdrying Alessandra Ambrosio's hair on Friday after she had her first color from Tracey Cunningham.
Tracey can be credited with starting the ombre hair color craze. Tracey’s color on Allesandra’s fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldrige inspired this color trend, and it’s a color that could very well transcend the trend and stick around. Ombre color is ideal for the girl that doesn’t want to be a slave to her hair but wants something that pops. If your colorist can match your natural base, this color requires very little to no maintenance. It’s summer year-round!
In late November I had the surprise and pleasure of going to Maui, Hawaii to work with Peter Butler for the legendary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The agency called me Tuesday morning and I was on a plane to Maui by Tuesday night.
After arriving to the hotel by midnight, I found out about my 3AM call time and took a power nap to rest up for the first day of shooting. This trip was intense; with early call-times (long before sunrise) and long, laborious days. If you think modeling is easy, this trip would make you think twice. These girls are giving you swimsuit realness after climbing up a cliff and through a freezing riverbed on like 3 hours of sleep!
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has been publishing it’s annual issue since its debut on January 20, 1964. Nearly every woman we’ve come to know as a Supermodel has graced the covers or pages of SI Swimsuit: Cheryl Tiegs, Christie Brinkley, Paulina Porizkova, Petra Nemacova, Rebecca Romijn, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Kathy Ireland, Elle Macpherson, Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Niki Taylor, Angie Everheart and Naomi Campbell.
Don’t forget Peter Butler is legendary in his own right. He has had hair on the cover of something like 10 or 11 Swimsuit issues. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Peter a few times since our trip together in November and he is a total inspiration! I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Peter and the entire SI crew.
Above I’ve posted this year’s cover featuring the very sexy Irina Shayk. Also are a few personal photos from the shoot.
